Restaurant Review: Cortijo de Palsabangon Farm Park and Restaurant (Pagbilao, Quezon)

Cortijo de Palsabangon Farm Park and Restaurant

Dining area
Cortijo de Palsabangon Farm Park and Restaurant, set in a 5.1-hectare organic farm planted to fruit trees and pesticide-free vegetables, amidst mountain scenery, is a relaxing place where one can commune with nature.

The native-style restaurant, built with bamboo, hardwood and sawali, furnished with bamboo tables and chairs and accented with cart wheels, is a place to sample Filipino dishes cooked with home grown and raised ingredients (free range chickens, organically grown vegetables, fresh fruits, etc.).  Their signature dishes include pancit canton, pork sisig, baked tahong, kare-kare, etc.

Bar
At its bar, you can also sample, aside from the regular wines and spirits, the local lambanog.

Aside from the restaurant, you can dine al fresco or in a picnic cottage.

Diners can also play billiards or sing their hearts out with their videoke.

Come Friday evening, a local band provides a night life party.  Cold nights are warmed with a bonfire.

Pork sisig and baked tahong
For those who want to stay overnight, there's 3 native-style bamboo cottages (Singkamas, Sigarilyas and Talong) with its own dining and sleeping area (PhP500/night).

The place is ideal for camping; team building; agricultural and organic farming tours (you pick and pay for the fresh fruits and vegetables which they cook); and horse and pony riding.  Come November to January, a rainbow usually appears during the day.
