In
a simple turnover ceremony held last January 7, Mr. Kim R. Lapus (General Manager and CEO of Mama Sita's Food Corporation),
together with his daughters Ms. Sophia Lapus (Marketing Manager of Mama Sita’s Food
Corporation) and her sister Ms. Isabel
Lapus (CEO of Kosmas Athletic Ventures), personally and formally turned over
a donation of two (2) KRYO Louisville Slugger composite softball bats, at the U.P.
Diliman CHK Baseball Field, as new equipment for the University of the
Philippines Women’s Varsity Softball Team. According to Associate Prof. Francis “Coach Kiko” B. Diaz (Dean of U.P. College of Human Kinetics), the bats
will play an important role in enhancing the team’s training and overall
performance as they head into the new season.

The UP Women’s Varsity Softball Team extends its heartfelt appreciation and sincere gratitude to Mama Sita’s Food Corporation and Kosmas Athleitc Ventures for their continued and unwavering support and partnership as the donation comes at a crucial time as the U.P. Softball Team strives for excellence, both locally and internationally, as it intensifies its preparations for the UAAP Season 88 Softball Competition, scheduled to begin in early February 2026
Mama Sita’s Food Corporation , founded by husband-and-wife team Dr. Bartolome
"Bart" B. Lapus and Clara C. Reyes- Lapus (daughter
of Teresita "Mama Sita" C. Reyes), is one of the main sponsors
of the U.P. Women’s Varsity Softball Team for School Year 2025–2026 and UAAP
Season 88, demonstrating the company’s sustained commitment to collegiate
sports and athlete development. Last October 2025, with the support of Mama
Sita’s Food Corp., the U.P. Softball Team successfully defended its
championship title at the 2025 Makassar Open International Softball Tournament
held in Makassar, Indonesia.

Sophia
and Ysabel have actively supported programs that empower young people through
sports, education, and grassroots engagement and both have played a key role in
leading the company’s community-building and youth-focused initiatives across
the Philippines. Their involvement reflects Mama Sita’s and Kosmas’ commitment
to investing in the next generation and using athletics as a platform to inspire
leadership, confidence, and positive impact among Filipino youth.
