Stellar Productions is proud to announce “Timeless,” a landmark concert event celebrating the dual milestone of Pinoy Rock icon Charlie Ysmael's 65th birthday and his 40th anniversary in the music industry.  The performance, offering an intimate journey through 4 decades of Philippine rock history, will take place on March 29, 2026 at 19 East Bar & Grill, a premier live music destination. 

Ysmael will perform curated setlist spanning his influential career, featuring the soulful grit and classic rock energy that have become his trademarks.  Ticket prices and special guests to be announced soon.

Charlie Ysmael is the frontman of The Breed, a legendary hard rock quartet that sprang out of the 1990s, contemporary Filipino music's second golden age. It was notorious for its loud-playing guitarist Emmanuel “Manny” Amador's (brother of Pinky Amador and nephew of Repertory Philippines founder Zenaida Amador) ear-splitting guitar volume, and remarkable for its signature song "Black Mercedes Benz" (a hit song which exposes the social gap and political atmosphere in the Philippines) as sung by Ysmael. The other band members then were Jay Alviar, Larry Dy-Liacco, bassist Johnny Besa and drummer Miguel Ortigas.  The last two are currently in another band Pigdog. 

In early 1998, The Breed disbanded and faded from memory and, in 2011, Amador died from cardiac arrest in Cebu City at age 49.  Ysmael reinvented himself as TV news reader (RPN 9), radio DJ (NU 107, as Charlie Y, and earlier on DZRJ-AM), and again as singer in various different band lineups in the hotel circuit, performing different genres, from pop to soul (very short-lived), to swing (with a horn section) to classic rock, and then, notably, with The Spirit of '67, where he stayed for 13 years (until 2018). 

When Covid-19 brought all entertainment to a grinding halt, Ysmael decided to resurrect and reform The Breed Ysmael The Breed by name, rounding up musicians Paolo Blaquera (lead guitar, backup vocals), Gerard de Dios (bass) and Jay Alviar (drums), as his new band mates, with Ysmael as lead vocals and guitar. 

Doing their best to capture the Breed's signature sound and lyrical themes, they released “Against the Light of Day,” a new album written, recorded, and mixed on October 2020, at the height of the pandemic, until about May 2022 and launched last April 15, 2023 at 70s Bistro.  They then recorded and wrapped up a promotional tour of the new album, performing in select venues around the city including 19 East, 70s Bistro, and The Roadhouse.

Last December 2024, The Breed celebrate their 35th anniversary as the Lords of rhe Loud of Pinoy Rock.  The Breed’s current lineup consists of Charlie Ysmael (vocals), Ian Trinidad (drums), Paolo Blaquera (guitar), Mike Bewer (guitar) and King Baldoz (bass).

Hindley Street Country Club (HSCC) Concert in Manila

The Hindley Street Country Club (HSCC), described as the greatest cover band in the world, with over 1 billion views across social media platforms, will perform live in Manila on September 29, 2024, at the New Frontier Theater. The band’s unique blend, high-energy performance, and catchy tunes have garnered viewers from Australia and abroad, amassing over 590 million YouTube views with over one million subscribers globally.  

The HSCC, an online band sensation from Australia, was founded in 2017 by arranger and producer Constantine Delo, along with a cohort of seasoned Adelaide session musicians who got together, for a lark, to record re-arranged covers of their favorite songs from the 1970’s and 1980’s and uploading them to Facebook and YouTube weekly. All HSCC tracks are recorded live, with everyone in one room (with the exception of a few when COVID 19 restrictions were in South Australia). As there is no PA or fold-back speakers to hear themselves in the room, the singers use Shure In-ear monitors to hear themselves, so the sound can be captured through the microphones as isolated as possible to make the job of the mixing engineer easier. 

The band got its name from Hindley Street located in the center of the city of Adelaide.  Many of the musicians who have played with HSCC had gigs in bands up and down that street in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The name is a play on the reputation of the street which is an eclectic mix of activity today.  In addition to pubs, clubs, amusement arcades, cinemas, fast food outlets, ice cream parlors and a university campus at one end, the street features adult entertainment, tattoo shops, motorcycle gangs and a steady stream of traffic cruising up and down the strip. There is no actual “country club” on Hindley Street, and the in-joke is mixing up a genteel concept like a country club with “Hindley Street.”

After almost a dozen years since their last concert (April 7, 2008) in the  Philippines, the English pop duo  Swing Out Sister (SOS), composed of Corinne Drewery (vocals) and Andy Connell (keyboards), is heading back to the Philippines for their 2020 Philippine Tour with special guest Sybil. Their three-leg concert dates are April 16 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, April 17 at the SMX Convention Center, Davao, and April 19 at the Waterfront Hotel, Cebu. 

The much loved 1980s duo began to dominate the music industry with their sophisticated dance-pop-jazz genre in the autumn of 1986, following the release of the 1986 effervescent song Breakout, their biggest hit to date. The irresistible upbeat single lived up to its name as it became an international chart sensation, not only in the United Kingdom and the US, but in many markets worldwide including the Philippines.

The group was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 1988: Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Group or Duo ("Breakout").

She achieved worldwide crossover hits with her cover versions of Dionne Warwick’s hits Don't Make Me Over (1989) and Walk On By (1990).   Her other hits include When I'm Good and Ready, Make It Easy On Me, It’s Too Late, The Love I Lost, I Wanna Be Where You Are, Lovely Day, etc.

This December, the 1990s pop band Michael Learns to Rock will return to the Philippines for a four-city tour as part of their Still Asian Tour 2018/2019. Produced by Ovation Productions, the group will be performing at the SMX Convention Center (Davao City, Davao del Sur) on December 4, Sta. Rosa Sports Coliseum (Sta. Rosa City, Laguna) on December 6, Waterfront Hotel Ballroom (Cebu City, Cebu) on December 7 and Smart Araneta Coliseum (Quezon City) on December 9.

This is the sixth visit of the group in the country, having performed here on August 31, 2017 (Kia Theater), September 19, 2015 (Smart Araneta Coliseum), November 22, 2008 (Smart Araneta Coliseum), November 6, 2001 (Araneta Coliseum) and 1992.

Jascha Richter (Vocals, Keyboards)

Michael Learns to Rock, also known as MLTR, is an award-winning Danish soft rock band (from Aarhus, Denmark) composed of  Jascha Richter (vocals, keyboard),  Mikkel Lentz (guitars), and  Kåre Wanscher (drums). Bassist Søren Madsen, the original band’s fourth member, left the group in 2000.

Formed in 1988, the band has, over the course of their career, sold over 11 million records, with the majority sold across Asia where they’ve earned great success aided by the hugely popular single "Take Me To Your Heart," awarded the "most downloaded single of the year 2006" (with 6 million or more paid downloads). 

The band has attributed its success in Asia to their clean-living image (their path to success has never been about scandals, divorce, drugs or any extreme way of living but always been about the music) and to singing in English, despite being Danish, as a second language. What sets MLTR apart from other mainstream acts is their ability to craft good tunes oozing with commercial appeal.

MLTR has earned Gold and Platinum status for records in many countries and won many awards, including "The Best Performing Act of the Year" at the 1994 SEA Grammy Awards in Singapore and the 1995 Gold Preis Award from the radio station RSH in Germany. The band has recorded nine studio albums as well as a number of live and greatest hits albums. They have played in excess of 600 concerts across the world, with no signs of stopping, and also have an estimated 50 million video views on YouTube and more than 50 million streams on Spotify.

Their string of monster radio hits include  "The Actor" (peaking at No. 1 on the Danish Singles Chart and performing well in Norway, Sweden, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines) from their first album Michael Learns to Rock; "Sleeping Child," "25 Minutes" and "Out of the Blue" from  their second album Colours (released in October 1993, it sold over 1.1 million records);  "That's Why (You Go Away)" and "Someday" from their third album Played on Pepper (sold over 1.2 million records, with most of those sales from Asia);  "Paint My Love" from the greatest hits album Paint My Love; "Take Me to Your Heart" (a remake of Jacky Cheung's "Goodbye Kiss"), "It's Gonna Make Sense" (played as the farewell song on the Philippine reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother), “My Blue Angel” (which went on to top the Danish Album Chart).

Boyzone: 25th Anniversary and Farewell Tour (Pasay City, Metro Manila)

Three years after their last concert in the Philippines, the Irish boy band Boyzone will return to the country to perform their career's biggest hits live as part of their 25th anniversary and farewell tour. The concert, produced by OvationProductions (promoter in the Philippines of other well known boy bands such as The Backstreet Boys, New Kids On the Block, Boyz ll Men, Color Me Badd, All-4-One, K-Pop’s Big Bang and also co-producer of One Direction, it celebrates its 40th anniversary next year), is to be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on August 26, 2018 (check out video here).  It is the final chance for their millions of Filipino fans to watch them perform together.

The band first performed in the country on August 29, 1997 (at New Cebu Coliseum in Cebu City) and, the next day, at the Folk Arts Theater in Manila. They returned, 18 years later, for a one-night only concert (a continuation of the group’s BZ20 Tour, also known as the 20th Anniversary Tour which began in 2013) at Smart Araneta Coliseum on May 26, 2015. The Irish group is planning to split up for good, but not before returning, together for the last time, for a stop in Manila, one of the stops in their world tour. On April 28, 2018, it was announced that the band would formally disband after their anniversary celebrations. 

Formed in 1993 by music mogul Louis Walsh (who is also known for managing Johnny Logan and Westlife), Boyzone was originally composed of five young Dublin Northsiders Keith Duffy, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, and Shane Lynch. One of the most successful bands in Ireland and the United Kingdom, the group had 24 singles in the UK (21 of them in the top 40 UK Singles Chart with 18 in the top 10 and six of them No. 1) and 19 top 5 singles in the Irish Singles Chart (nine of them No.1). They also had five No. 1 albums, with 25 million records sold by 2013 worldwide.

The group initially disbanded in 1999. Despite the fact they've all been pursuing solo projects from car dealerships to soap roles to singing for many years, Boyzone have never permanently split up and they got back together in 2007, originally with the intention of just touring (the Back Again... No Matter What tour). Following the death of co-lead singer Stephen Gately on October 10, 2009 of natural causes from a pulmonary edema resulting from an undiagnosed heart condition (while on holiday at his flat in Port d'Andratx in the Spanish island of Majorca), the boys went on as a foursome, releasing 3 more albums and selling 2 million records, including their fantastic, new final album "Thank You & Goodnight."

The album, released on November 16, 2018 with 12 new tracks, includes a very special tribute to Stephen in the shape of a new song, "I Can Dream."   Guest songwriters Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Gary Barlow have written some songs for this album). To date, Boyzone have released four studio albums and seven compilation albums and, based on BPI certifications, have sold over 13 million records in the UK alone. In 2012, Boyzone was ranked, by the Official Charts Company, as the 29th biggest selling singles artists in British music chart history and is the second most successful boy band in Britain, behind Take That.

The Thank You & Goodnight Tour, which promotes the album, is also to be their last tour. It started on June 29, 2017 in Cartmel, Lancashire; continued to London, York, Edinburgh and, of course, several gigs in their homeland, Ireland. They next hit Asia before returning to Europe. The Asian Leg of the Boyzone 25th Anniversary Tour, starting on the 16th of August in Colombo (Sri Lanka), continues to Prambanan (Yogjakarta, Indonesia) on August 19, to Singapore on August 21 and in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on August 24 before proceeding to Manila.

Celine Dion Live in Manila

World-renowned, multi award winning French-Canadian singer Celine Dion, one of the most immediately recognized, widely respected and successful performers in pop music history, will be performing in Manila, for the first time, in a one night only show on July 19, Thursday, 8 PM - 11 PM at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in Pasay City (check out video). 

Part of her highly anticipated CELINE DION LIVE 2018 Tour, she will perform in seven cities across the Asia-Pacific region she hasn’t performed in for ten years, including Tokyo (she is scheduled to kick-off  her tour here on June 26) and Macao, and cities she will perform in for the first time ever, including Singapore, Jakarta, Taipei, Manila and Bangkok.

Dion was originally scheduled to perform at the SM MOA Arena in Manila in November 2014 but had to cancel, at the last minute, to care for her then ailing husband-manager, Canadian music producer  René Angélil, whose health was failing. He eventually succumbed to throat cancer in January 14, 2016. Two days later, Daniel, one of Dion's brothers also died from cancer at age 59.

Dion first gained international recognition in the 1980s by winning both the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival and the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest where she represented Switzerland.  During her over 30-year career, Celine Dion has sold almost 250 million albums and  has earned five  Grammy Awards (including Album of the Year and Record of the Year), two Academy Awards (both for Best Original Song) and seven American Music Awards.

She has also received 12 World Music Awards, 20  Juno Awards  (the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys), and 43  Félix Awards . In 2004, in recognition of her status as the best-selling female artist of all time, Celine received the Chopard Diamond Award at the World Music Awards and, in 2016, the Billboard MusicAwards presented her with the lifetime achievement Icon Award.

Some of her songs that were never commercially released in other countries but became hits in the Philippines include "I Love You, Goodbye" and "I Love You." Celine continues to break records, playing over 1,000 shows to more than four million fans, with her ongoing residency (the most successful concert residency of all time, grossing US$385 million) at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada.

The tour is produced by AEGPresents (one of the largest live music companies in the world) and co-produced by Ovation Productions (a pioneer concert promotions company in the Philippines operating since the 1970s, it is headed by veteran promoter Renen de Guia) in Manila.
