The Pokémon Company is pleased to announce new additions to the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 software title Pokémon Legends: Z-A and the Nintendo Switch 2 software title Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. A video showcasing the latest information about the Pokémon Legends: Z-A game is now available. Please check it out.
Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja, released in 2013, first appeared in the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y games. New Mega Evolutions—evolved forms that transcend standard Evolution—of these three Pokémon have now been discovered.
As
a result of Mega Evolution, portions of its outer shell have transformed into
shield-like pieces of shoulder armor. It can also remove one of these shields
from its shoulders and wield it as a weapon. Its hardened armor boasts high
defensive capabilities. When Mega Chesnaught moves to attack, this armor
becomes a powerful weapon with which to smash opponents.

Mega Chesnaught
Category: Spiny Armor Pokémon
Type: Grass/Fighting
Height: 5’3”; (1.6 m.)
Weight: 198.4 lbs. (90 kgs.)
Energy from Mega Evolution has been channeled into its outer shell and throughout its body, resulting in a dramatic increase in its defensive capabilities. The fur on its body has also grown and can act as an impact-absorbing cloak. Confident that it can withstand any sort of attack, it possesses a steadfast spirit and always remains levelheaded.
When it removes a piece of its incredibly tough shoulder armor, spikes extend from the shield to form an axe-like weapon with a long handle. This weapon’s shield-turned-axe-head is too heavy to easily wield one-handed—even with Mega Chesnaught’s brute strength—but a two-handed grip lets Mega Chesnaught leverage the weapon with exact precision to beat down its foes.
As a result of Mega Evolution, it now appears as though it is perpetually floating atop a large tree branch. Along with moves that use the two lit branches floating alongside it, it can also attack using flames that it spits from its mouth. It uses psychic powers to confuse opponents, making for a tricky fighting style that allows it to unerringly deal damage.

Mega Delphox
Mega Delphox
Category: Fox Pokémon
Type: Fire/Psychic
Height: 4’11”; (1.5 m.)
Weight: 86 lbs. (39 kgs.)
Its psychic abilities have been enhanced. Mega Delphox controls two branches that float by its side. It moves these branches as if they were brought to life by its magic, leaving onlooking opponents bewildered. It also floats atop a large lit branch, dazzling its foes even further. In contrast to its disoriented opponents, Mega Delphox stays calm and collected as it deals damage by landing precise attacks.
Mega Delphox attacks its foes by skillfully coordinating its moves in tandem with the two lit branches floating nearby. And there’s more! These seemingly autonomous flames don’t just confuse the opponent—they can also be combined with the flames Mega Delphox spits from its mouth, forming a huge fireball that engulfs and burns its targets.
It
uses its incredible reflexes to launch attacks at opponents, distracting them
with the sight of it clinging to a gigantic water shuriken.

Mega Greninja
Mega Greninja
Category: Ninja Pokémon
Type: Water/Dark
Height: 4’11”; (1.5 m.)
Weight: 88.2 lbs. (40 kgs.)
Unleashing the energy of Mega Evolution has dramatically improved Mega Greninja’s reflexes. It intentionally reveals itself to push opponents into attacking. Then, it detects their incoming attacks and moves so swiftly that it’s able to strike first. Normally, Greninja would appear in a flash and disappear like a ninja. Now that it has Mega Evolved, it no longer bothers to hide itself, demonstrating to opponents its confidence that it will win.
It clings upside down to a giant floating water shuriken that was created from a gel-like membrane secreted from its body. Opponents caught off guard by its surprising appearance are then wrapped up in its long tongue and prevented from attacking. It charges toward immobilized opponents to attack with its gigantic and rapidly spinning shuriken.
The Mega Stones required to Mega Evolve Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja can be obtained from the Z-A Battle Club as rewards for battling other Trainers in online Ranked Battles. Ranked Battles offer three types of rewards: battle rewards obtainable after each battle, promotion rewards obtainable upon rising in rank, and season rewards—which vary by rank—obtainable at the end of each season. Keep battling and refining your skills for a chance to get a variety of rewards. Mega Stones for these three Pokémon can only be obtained as rewards for being promoted up the ranks.
Any Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and Nintendo Account are required for online features. Membership auto-renews after the initial term at the then-current price unless canceled. Not available in all countries. Internet access is required for online features. Terms apply.
Details about Ranked Battles Season 4 and other future seasons will be announced at a later date. Greninjite, Delphoxite, and Chesnaughtite stones cannot normally be obtained during regular gameplay. Mega Stones obtainable as promotion rewards are planned to be redistributed in future seasons.
· It is possible to have no more than one of each kind of Mega Stone. If you already have one of these Mega Stones, you will be unable to receive another as a Ranked Battles reward. For more information, please check the in-game news.
The Nintendo
eShop and My Nintendo Store are not available in all countries. The Nintendo eShop

Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension is also coming soon! Players will be able to
expand their Lumiose City adventure and dive even deeper into the world of
Pokémon Legends: Z-A with this DLC. Mega Dimension includes new Holo-X and
Holo-Y apparel items that can be used right away in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, along
with additional story content you can enjoy after completing Pokémon Legends:
Z-A’s main story. Players will be able to jump into new adventures with the
same save data used to play Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Preorders for Mega Dimension are available now, with the DLC’s additional story content scheduled to release soon after the DLC goes on sale October 16, 2025. Note that in order to progress through Mega Dimension’s story, players will first need to complete the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
A teaser video for Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension has been released on the official Pokémon YouTube channel. Please check it out.
The Mythical Pokémon Hoopa makes an appearance in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension Announcement Trailer. Hoopa raises its golden ring—and the door to hyperspace opens!
Many Mega Stones can be seen throughout hyperspace. Mega Stones for Raichu that appear are among them. Then Mega Raichu X appears! Surrounding itself with electricity, it throws a forceful fist! Mega Raichu Y shows up as well! After nimbly running and dodging, it unleashes mighty bolts of electricity.
The main visual of Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension has been revealed. Depicted in the center is the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa, with two newly discovered Mega-Evolved Pokémon—Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y—on either side.
Mysterious distortions in space have appeared without warning in Lumiose City. They seem to connect to a mysterious space—Hyperspace Lumiose. It looks like the story with Team MZ isn’t over yet!
Hoopa is a Mythical Pokémon that can warp space using the loops on its horns and around its body. These loops are stretchable, and they can form holes inside them leading to far-off places. Whatever passes through one of its portals can be transported instantaneously. It’s fond of foods that have holes in them—especially donuts.
What
role could it play in Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension? Please stay tuned
for more details.
Category: Mischief Pokémon
Type: Psychic/Ghost
Height: 1’8”; (0.5 m.)
Weight: 19.8 lbs. (9 kgs.)
Two
separate Mega Evolutions of Raichu have been newly discovered. It seems that
each Mega Evolutions uses a different Mega Stone. Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu
Y can be encountered by meeting specific conditions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A –
Mega Dimension.

Mega Raichu X
Mega Raichu X
Category: Mouse Pokémon
Type: Electric
Height: 3’11”; (1.2 m.)
Weight: 83.8 lbs. (38 kgs.)
The
repulsion from the electromagnetic force generated by its two tails allows it
to float as it moves. Its ample subcutaneous fat can store electric energy,
letting it maintain a high electrical output and heightening its defensive
capabilities! Using electromagnetism to propel itself swiftly through the air,
it can take down opponents several times its size with a single blow of its
electrically charged fists. It bears a distinctive resemblance to regular
Raichu.

Mega Raichu Y
Mega Raichu Y
Category: Mouse Pokémon
Type: Electric
Height: 3’3”; (1 m.)
Weight: 57.3 lbs. (26 kgs.)
Mega Raichu Y’s greatest strength is its ability to unleash its power instantaneously, so it excels in short, decisive battles. The amount of electricity it can generate in the electric sacs on its cheeks has been powered up. The energy generated in these cheek pouches is amplified as it courses in a zig-zag pattern between its tail and the spiky, horn-like fur on its head, letting it unleash powerful electric-type moves. All this electric energy gives it a wild and combative temperament, causing it to eschew tactical maneuvers in favor of a straightforward approach to battling. It bears a distinctive resemblance to Pikachu.
