The
Pokémon Company is proud to announce the following news about Pokémon Pokopia, Pokémon’s first
life simulation game and a new title for Nintendo Switch 2. The Pokémon
Company, GAME FREAK Inc., and KOEI TECMO GAMES jointly led the planning and
development of this title. During the Nintendo Direct broadcast, it was
announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 title Pokémon Pokopia will be released in
2026.
Pre-orders
for the digital version will be available for pre-order on Nintendo eShop and
My Nintendo Store beginning Wednesday, November 12. In this title, you play as
a Ditto that has transformed to look like a human. Craft items using materials
such as wood and stones, collect berries to share with Pokémon, and create a
cozy place for everyone to live.
Ditto,
having transformed to look like a human, will learn moves from the Pokémon they
have encountered and utilize those moves to help build your very own Pokémon
paradise, expanding their own capabilities steadily.
For
example, Ditto can use Bulbasaur’s Leafage to add greenery to the landscape or
Squirtle’s Water Gun to hydrate wilted water plants. A lush, comfortable area
to live will surely attract a variety of Pokémon.
The
time in-game is linked to real-world time. Experience a relaxing life complete
with weather changes alongside a variety of unique Pokémon who live around you.
Savor the slow life as you collect rocks and wood, build furniture, grow
vegetables in fields you’ve tilled, and create homes for yourself and Pokémon,
then enjoy a rest in your bed after all your hard work. As you play, the time
of day and weather shift in a natural cycle, allowing you to enjoy your utopia
in all its moods. The list of things you can do goes on and on. By creating a
lush, welcoming environment, more Pokémon will visit.
After
a while, you can build a big town of your own and invite Pokémon and even other
players to visit. And more excitement awaits! Today we’ve introduced just a few
of the ways you can play in this title. We hope you look forward to future
announcements!
